Kia Ora Support Services Ltd is a new start-up company. It has been developed by an experienced core team of passionate and knowledgeable professionals, including hands-on experience of working with young people, providing therapeutic services, managing supported accommodation homes, managing and developing staff teams, meeting compliance requirements and demonstrating an exemplary track record of empowering their clients to aim high. They have utilised their positive and negative experiences of supported accommodation and young people’s support services to develop a therapeutic and trauma-informed service that supports each young person to overcome life challenges with an independent plan, empowering them to reach their goals.
Offering a therapeutic service provides the base for all our decisions and actions, respecting and supporting each other with empathy and establishing a service that is welcoming to young people, staff, visitors, and professionals are crucial elements to an environment fit for our young people to call home. Our homes are happy places, but behind the scenes, careful and well-thought-out plans are being developed to ensure we are ready for the challenges our young people face.
The young person’s autonomy and personal aims are central to the service we offer, tailoring support plans and service offerings to meet them where they are at right now and planning their pathway to an independent and fulfilling life. We have an in-house therapist, as well as access to external specialist services, who are available for one-to-one or group sessions with our young people, provide training sessions for our staff and offer guidance when planning trauma-informed support plans or specific support for those young people in need of additional support and guidance.
